You have no vision

visionThat’s what I think when I see what kind of TV shows or movies people watch. Some people have no vision. In my opinion that is. What most people watch are things I don’t care about. Especially people I follow on social media. When they talk about movies they’ve seen or TV shows they’re watching, I just get bored. I feel I have nothing in common with them. I won’t stop following them though. They can watch what they like. I’m not criticising other people tastes. I’m sure they don’t really care what I watch either. I’m just saying, I don’t think they have the same kind of vision I have. I don’t mean my vision is better, it’s just different.

I don’t understand the hype over certain blockbuster movies that out there right now or in the past. I just haven’t been interesting in them. For example, I never cared about the Harry Potter movies. I never even wanted to read the books. I don’t read books but if I did, I still wouldn’t. Every time I see or hear about Potter, I just roll my eyes.
Marvel movies like Avangers, Iron Man, Spider-man and Captain America. I’m just not interested no matter how many recommendations there is. The only Marvel movie I’ve cared about was Guardians of the Galaxy because it was fun and Lee Pace was in it. I might see Doctor Strange but that’s only because of Benedict Cumberbatch. I’m not even sorry for being interested in a movie because one of my favorite actors is in it. That’s usually not my motive to be interested in a movie.
X-men and Fast and the furious. Hello how many movies are there gonna be?! Soon they’re coming out of our ears. Enough is enough. Doesn’t Hollywood have any other visions?! Just saying.

Again I’m not criticising what people watch but TV shows that are popular among other people are those I don’t care about. I never liked unnatural things (a.k.a. creepy stuff) so shows like Supernatural, The Walking Dead, American Horror story and shows like that are not my cup of tea. Even people talking about them bores me. In Tumblr especially.
What’s even worse are movies becoming TV shows. Have they run out of ideas or what?! Then there are making new versions of old shows. When they made a new Knight Rider, I knew it wouldn’t last. Now they’re planning a new MacGyver. They are spoiling the past of my childhood. You can’t remake classics. It will never be the same. There are different actors therefore it won’t make it better. Maybe it’s cheaper to make remakes instead of new ones or just laziness. Twin Peaks is not a remake (more of a comeback) but I hope it won’t be a disaster even if some of the actors will be the same. The same with Prison break (which I look forward to) I really hope they won’t be a mistake.

Honestly I’m getting bored with all these new TV shows. I don’t even know what they’re called because I don’t care. I prefer older or shows that have been on for several seasons. Unfortunately all the shows I’m watching are coming to an end (Person of interest and Bones). Game of thrones seems to be the only show worth watching but even that will end some day. Then the 4th season of BBC Sherlock coming of course. I’ve stopped watching The Blacklist because it wasn’t as exciting anymore and the story just got ridiculous. So nothing interesting is going on or coming up on TV. There’s no point of recommending anything since I won’t interest me. No House of cards, Better call Saul or any other of those because, well simply, I don’t care. I have a vision but my vision is different from yours so you better deal with it.

So many movies so little money

So 2015 started and a new year is here. So what to do. See movies of course. In a movie theater/cinema to be precise. I don’t go that often because in recent years there haven’t been movies I’ve wanted to see. I usually went a few times a year. It’s also quite expensive. I don’t really fancy being in the theater. There’s always something disturbing. Someone talking or someone rustling with their candy bags. Just other people basically. Also quite irritating that people are rushing out after the movie theater like there’s a fire somewhere. I always stay to the end.

Last year I went 4 times which is quite rare. But they were movies I wanted to see. (Guardians of the galaxy, Into to the storm and The Hobbit (twice) ) I only pay for a ticket for a movie that are worth my time and it’s always in 2D. I don’t like 3D. This year there’s gonna be quite a few. Yes there is life after The Hobbit 😉

Seventh Son
It’s out today (January 2) in Finland. It’s based on a book. Starring Ben Barnes ❤ ,Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Kit Harington. I’m planning to go in next week.

Exodus: Gods and Kings
It was realised in December 26 over here but then I saw the ticket price, I decided to wait. And I still wait. It seems I have to wait until they have a day when it’s less expensive. Or I won’t go at all. The reason I want to see it is, Christian Bale. And I saw the trailer before The Hobbit movie started. It also looks interesting. It has a lot of criticism but who really cares. It’s a movie for crying out loud. Nothing to do with real events.

The Imitation game
Two words: Benedict Cumberbatch. I haven’t seen the trailer or don’t know what it’s about. I usually try to found information about a movie first before I decide to watch it or not. This time I’m gonna take another approach. The movie will be out in February so it’s gonna take a while.

Paddington
This was also out on January 2. I didn’t think of going to see this but I saw the trailer and it looked like fun. I remember watching Paddington on TV when I was a child. I still have a Paddinton piggy bank. The bear is sitting on his suitcase, wearing a hat. Like this one but the jacket is blue. I have it in a box somewhere.
There’s also a dubbed version of the movie but imagine Nicole Kidman “speaking” Finnish 😀 The original is always the best.

So quite a lot of movies for me to see this year. If I get to see them (bloody ticket prices) that’s another story. This is my “going to see a movie”- plan 2015.

My year in blogging (part 1)

Year 2014 is soon coming to an end. It’s time to recap. I went through every post and boy were there many. I had a few post in 2013 but it was only this year I started to write more. I had a few spelling errors but they were minor so nobody noticed. Here is my countdown in short.

January
It started on January 1. I wanted a fresh start after my mother died. Blogging was one of them. Zero to Hero challenge was a good start. That helped a lot and taught me about blogging. It got my blog “out there” I also got a OMG moment. I never knew my family would share a birthday with so many actors. Especially with Lee Pace. So proud of that 😀
I took part in Weekly Writing challenge (still do) I wrote “In the mind of a dolphin killer” Inspired by the dolphin and small whale slaughtering in Taiji which still goes on.

February
It was the Winter Olympics month. Finland won bronze in ice hockey. The ladies got silver in cross-country skiing and men won gold. After the Zero and Hero challenge was over, it felt like blogging wouldn’t be so much fun. But I still kept going. I wrote about Sherlock and the actors who’s played him. Then Finland went crazy because Benedict Cumberbatch was seen in the country.

March
I wrote about introversion. Wrote my first fanfiction based on movie/book character. The Oscars were a farce. Some movie called Gravity won most of it and American Hustle won none. Good thing was that I got more followers. I also wrote what I found humorous.

April
Blogging 201 and IBQ Writing Prompt but the latter wasn’t very long. I did write the 100th post on my blog. But still I didn’t get that many comments. I bought The Hobbit book to read it the 2nd time. Nothing beats a DVD of The Desolation of Smaugh though.

May
It was my first Mother’s Day without mother. The series 24: Live another day finally arrived on Finnish TV so that was a great comfort. Finland also won silver in Men’s Ice hockey world championship. I also got accepted to the photography school I applied to.
