You have no vision

visionThat’s what I think when I see what kind of TV shows or movies people watch. Some people have no vision. In my opinion that is. What most people watch are things I don’t care about. Especially people I follow on social media. When they talk about movies they’ve seen or TV shows they’re watching, I just get bored. I feel I have nothing in common with them. I won’t stop following them though. They can watch what they like. I’m not criticising other people tastes. I’m sure they don’t really care what I watch either. I’m just saying, I don’t think they have the same kind of vision I have. I don’t mean my vision is better, it’s just different.

I don’t understand the hype over certain blockbuster movies that out there right now or in the past. I just haven’t been interesting in them. For example, I never cared about the Harry Potter movies. I never even wanted to read the books. I don’t read books but if I did, I still wouldn’t. Every time I see or hear about Potter, I just roll my eyes.
Marvel movies like Avangers, Iron Man, Spider-man and Captain America. I’m just not interested no matter how many recommendations there is. The only Marvel movie I’ve cared about was Guardians of the Galaxy because it was fun and Lee Pace was in it. I might see Doctor Strange but that’s only because of Benedict Cumberbatch. I’m not even sorry for being interested in a movie because one of my favorite actors is in it. That’s usually not my motive to be interested in a movie.
X-men and Fast and the furious. Hello how many movies are there gonna be?! Soon they’re coming out of our ears. Enough is enough. Doesn’t Hollywood have any other visions?! Just saying.

Again I’m not criticising what people watch but TV shows that are popular among other people are those I don’t care about. I never liked unnatural things (a.k.a. creepy stuff) so shows like Supernatural, The Walking Dead, American Horror story and shows like that are not my cup of tea. Even people talking about them bores me. In Tumblr especially.
What’s even worse are movies becoming TV shows. Have they run out of ideas or what?! Then there are making new versions of old shows. When they made a new Knight Rider, I knew it wouldn’t last. Now they’re planning a new MacGyver. They are spoiling the past of my childhood. You can’t remake classics. It will never be the same. There are different actors therefore it won’t make it better. Maybe it’s cheaper to make remakes instead of new ones or just laziness. Twin Peaks is not a remake (more of a comeback) but I hope it won’t be a disaster even if some of the actors will be the same. The same with Prison break (which I look forward to) I really hope they won’t be a mistake.

Honestly I’m getting bored with all these new TV shows. I don’t even know what they’re called because I don’t care. I prefer older or shows that have been on for several seasons. Unfortunately all the shows I’m watching are coming to an end (Person of interest and Bones). Game of thrones seems to be the only show worth watching but even that will end some day. Then the 4th season of BBC Sherlock coming of course. I’ve stopped watching The Blacklist because it wasn’t as exciting anymore and the story just got ridiculous. So nothing interesting is going on or coming up on TV. There’s no point of recommending anything since I won’t interest me. No House of cards, Better call Saul or any other of those because, well simply, I don’t care. I have a vision but my vision is different from yours so you better deal with it.

May the hope be with you

SWFORCEToday it’s Star Wars Day. But it’s also a day of hope. There are forces out there you can’t control but you should never turn into the dark side. A side where all the hope is gone and you fall into despair. You think there is no way out of your misery and that nobody cares. But that’s where you are wrong. You just have to stay strong and not give up no matter what.

I’ve never suffered from depression so I don’t know how that really feels like. But I have lost hope and felt nothing good will never come to me. That’s what life is about. Everything can’t be like in Sound of music (never seen it but I can imagine it) where everything is happy. You have ups and downs. Some have more than others. If everybody lost hope, there would be nobody left in this world. There are days when it feels like everything is trembling down but everyone has a bad day. Even the rich and famous. That what makes us human. We get hope, we lose it but that’s not the end of the world. If aliens invaded, then maybe it could but that’s far-fetched. This is the real world and there’s always hope. You need patience and positive thinking. It’s the negativity that makes us lose hope.

We always see bad things on the news so we think the world is bad. If there were more positive news, maybe we wouldn’t be so paranoid about the intentions of others. There are too many concerns in the world. No wonder there are so many depressed people out there. We’re too busy complaining about things we don’t have. How about things we do have? We should all take examples from kids and animals. Or even disabled people. They see the world in a totally different way. Enjoy the smallest things instead of thinking about big things. Music, reading a good book, watch movies or just a walk in the park. Anything you fancy.

We also compare ourselves with each other. There will always be someone who got a better job, a better relationship or better looking but that doesn’t mean they’re better than anyone else. There have always been negative people who think badly about others and always will be. They’re the one’s loosing hope. They’re the one bringing you down. Life’s too short to have those kind of people around you so cut them out of your life. Believe me, nothing is better than live without negative people around you.

Never give up hope. There’s always a new day and maybe that day will finally give you more positive thoughts. Without hope there’s no life so never give up.

Music is my life

radioMusic has always been part of my life since I was a child. I’m one of those kids who lived they’re childhood in the 80’s. The fashion wasn’t the best but the music was awesome and still is. When I hear what they’re playing on the radio these days, I’m glad I’m not a teen. I’m not even interesting in new bands anymore. I use to follow the music scene but then other interest came a long. A lot of bands and artists who existed in the 80’s and 90’s are still around. Like Duran Duran who released Paper Gods last year and they’re also still touring. I wish they could get their butts over here as well. They’re one of the rarest bands that still make great music.

Without music life would be dull. My taste is wide. I listen to almost all kinds of music. Real music and not computerized noise you hear in young people’s stereos. There are good bands like Pet shop boys whose music is made by a computer but they do it with style. I love a good melody. I didn’t pay that much attention to lyrics until I got older. I don’t listen to Finnish songs that much, unless I happen to have the radio on. Finnish lyrics are sometimes stupid. Finnish bands who sings in English is a different thing. I’ve learned the language by listening to music. I have listened to other foreign songs but I never understand what they’re singing. I usually just listen to it if the sound is good. I’ve heard songs in Spanish, French, Italian, German but English is still the best.

I like buying CD’s. Nothing is better than having the real thing. Besides when you by a CD you can get a booklet. It depends on the album but it usually have lyrics and photos in them. That’s the best thing. You don’t get that when you buy digitally. I don’t really understand why people want to buy it that way. The same with movies. If you watch them online or on Netflix, you don’t get the same feeling you get from a DVD. Besides sometimes a disc contains extra footage which you don’t get when you buy digitally. That’s the best part of having a real DVD in your hand. The feeling you actually have it. The same with a CD.

Before there were sound, there were music. If there wasn’t music, the silent movies would be silent. Music made the movies they are today. I couldn’t be without music. I listen to it in no matter mood I’m in. I watch movies because of the music. I don’t listen to classical music but in movies it’s a must. Music is also important in TV shows but sometimes no music is needed to add more drama. For example when I watch Game of thrones, I don’t even realise there’s music in the background. The scenes are so intense without music.

Music is my life and the 80’s is my favorite decade. Also 90’s music has its great songs. Any music is good no matter what decade. Even the 2000’s has it. I listen to the radio every day. I even have it on when I sleep. I listen mostly to a radio station that plays old classics. Music is my first love and it will always be the love of my life.
