What do you enjoy most about writing?

Daily Prombt
1–2 minutes

What I mostly enjoy about writing is that I have time to think. I prefer it to speaking. You don’t have time to say what you want when you talk, at least in my case. I often wish I had said something, but time has passed, and people have changed the subject. Sometimes I use a pencil and paper, but mostly I type on the computer. It’s faster, and your hand don’t get tired. I don’t only write this blog, but I also write fiction. It’s a queue of enjoyable writing.

I don’t know if you can call it a problem, but I don’t seem to finish the stories I’ve written. There is a queue of unfinished work. I just get bored of the stories and get new ideas. Writing can be stressful sometimes, but I enjoy it the most when I get my thoughts written down. Everyone is good at something, and writing is my strongest point. Especially when it comes to imagination. Writing is enjoyable when ideas come pouring. When I write, it can take hours. But when ideas don’t come, it’s then when I don’t like writing.

There are times I don’t have the motivation to write, so I take a break. A break would do everyone good, and then come back stronger than ever. Having a break from something creative, you find new inspiration to continue. It doesn’t need to be creative; it can be anything you do in life. Writing is a great hobby to have, and I hope I will do it for a long time.

No itch for blogging

My only itch lately is my skin when it’s hot and sweaty outside. I’ve had no itch to blog. I have thought about other things. But writing, in general, hasn’t been one of them. Summer is when my mind doesn’t work the same way it does other seasons. I think it’s the heat. Being outside has been better than being inside. I mostly write on my laptop because it’s easier and faster. Having a break from blogging and writing is good, anyway. I don’t want to write if I have nothing to say. When the Autumn comes, I will have more to write about, I’m sure.

Next Tuesday I’m going to see Pet Shop Boys in concert, so I won’t have time to write then, either. Just showing up here to tell you I’m still here. I don’t know when I’ll be blogging again. But you have a good summer and see you later. I know the blogging and writing itch will be back again.

What topics do you like to discuss?

Daily Prompt

I have a lot of topics that I like to discuss but no one to do it with. I write a blog instead. It’s mostly talk and no action, but at least I get my thoughts down. Some things are important to me but don’t seem like that to others. If I had a pet, I would talk to it. Since I don’t, I speak to Mon Ami, my favourite toy monkey. Maybe it’s weird, but I like some weirdness, and I don’t care what people think. Certain things you can’t write in a blog. They are private. I also don’t want people to know about my sad infatuations. Talking or writing is food for the mind, and you need to take it out of your mind one way or another.

I like to discuss music, movies, photography, graphic design, blogging, sport etc. But I don’t talk politics or religion. Or private things. I might say other facts about me, but nothing intimate. It’s no one’s business but my own. For specific topics, I only have opinions and short answers. Other issues I could talk about for hours. A shame; not many people want to know what I have to say. I don’t like talking about things just to talk. What most people are talking about doesn’t interest me. I don’t like networking because there is no soul in them. I like deep conversations. Unfortunately, people who want to do that don’t exist in real life. Without the internet, there would be no one to share thoughts with. It’s a wide, wide world. Blogging is a great way to express yourself when you are an introvert like me. It’s no point explaining what an introvert is to people who don’t want to understand. But that is a topic for another day.
