I’m lucky to live in a country with four different seasons. I couldn’t live in a country where it’s summer all the time. I need cold and darkness. And snow. Some Finns complain about the cold and the darkness, so they go abroad. Especially older people. But I don’t mind it. After darkness, there is light. Summer comes every year, sooner or later.

What’s good about seasons is that you never know what the weather will be like. In Finland, the weather changes quickly. First it’s sunny, but then the rain comes. The weather forecast doesn’t always matter. They could have said the day would be sunny, but that doesn’t mean it will.

The weather changes wherever you are. If you’re in the North, it can be colder there than in the South of Finland. In the North, winter arrives faster than in the South. Finland might be a small country, but it’s still pretty big when it comes to weather.
