Blogging 201: Get Read all over

So day 4 of Blogging 201

My blog is mobile-friendly. But I don’t care if it is really. I only use the lap top and all those other new gadgets are just meh to me. But since there are people who are “obsessed” to be on the internet everywhere, I’m just gonna let them have it. If you can’t see this blog, then too bad. I won’t change it. As long as you can see my writing that’s all that matters.

I’m a bit disappointed with this Blogging 201. So far it’s only been about layouts etc. I was expecting something with how to get more readers. Maybe I’ve just misunderstood it. I want people to read my blog and not look at the layout. I hope there will be less layout business in the upcoming assignments or it hasn’t been very useful for me.

So that’s done and dusted. Next!

 

Blogging 201(day 3): I change for no one

I don’t know if joining Blogging 201 was such a great idea after all. It feels like repeating. I have done a lot of difference changes before and I’m happy the way it is. I don’t care about feedback when it comes to layouts. And who looks at the front page anyway. It’s what on the inside that counts. Most people probably only read blogs through Reader.

If this was a website, maybe then the layout would be more important. Or I don’t know. I don’t think my blog attracts that many people. If you compare another blogs (food, fashion blogs etc.) that is. I just dislike the word brand. That’s one of the reasons I think this challenge isn’t what I need. It’s only 14 days so I might just hang along. And maybe I gain more followers and might learn something new. You never know.

So that this post won’t be totally boring. I always and always will use free themes. There’s a lot of good ones so why pay for one. If anyone wonders, the header I made with Photoshop tutorial. Did you think I can use Photoshop that well without help? 😀

OK, not really 😀

I’m taking part of Blogging 201 and it’s day one. It’s about setting goals to you blog. Well, what are my goals exactly. I’m never been good at setting goals. I guess I’ve been disappointed too many times. I used to have dreams but they’ve got dashed (for different reasons) That’s the same with goals. When I make goals, things always change. Maybe I just expect too much. So I’ve learned, if you don’t expect too much, you don’t get disappointed. Sad but true.

So with the blog I won’t have any special goals. What I really, really want (Spice Girls anyone 😉 ) is people to read what I write. I stopped looking at the stats. They are just guidelines anyway. I don’t want much from this blog. No fame, no fortune. I just want to share my thoughts with someone. And of course some comments once in a while. What it comes to Twitter and Facebook. Won’t give a damn. This is for WordPress only. But if someone wants to follow me there, just go a head. I won’t mind. Just one thing, I don’t ‘collect’ followers. If someone just want to increase their following base, don’t bother. Thank you.

So:

  • No special goals
  • To have at least one comment per post (minus pingbacks, real comments please)
  • To write at least once per day (maybe not post them)
