Money goes out but nothing comes in

What bothers you and why?

Daily Writing Prompt

Bills, bills, bills, that’s all I get. Money goes out, but nothing comes in. That’s what bothers me at the moment. I thought not having enough money would only be a momentary problem. I can’t live on my savings forever. I thought some passive income from digital products would be a good idea. But no one wants to buy. I have one that someone else created, and the newest is a motivational postcard that I made myself. They are in Finnish, so maybe that’s the reason why people won’t buy. Or perhaps they’re not good enough that people want to print them or use them in some other way. It reminds me of the graphic design teacher who said a poster I did was one she wouldn’t put up on her wall. That makes me doubt that I’m not good enough to be a graphic designer. That it’s all in my head.

Selling digital products isn’t easy because there are so many. But some people make it look so easy. It is easy if you use AI for photos and videos. But they look so fake. I follow faceless marketing accounts on Instagram, and it’s becoming a little annoying that they rely heavily on AI as if it’s the only way to sell their products. It bothers me that people keep selling digital products, where they sell courses on how to sell digital products. So now everybody can make them without graphic design skills? AI should be a tool and not something you use to sell products. It can help you with writing, but you should still use your head. I’ve used both Gemini and ChatGPT to check spelling and grammar in my fan fiction. I also use them to find ideas and gather information. And also for chatting, because no one else gives me insight on things. AI should help and not do everything for you.

It would be nice to have some money to go on a cruise (it’s too hot on land), but I have to save money for the hotel I’m staying at in August when I see Bryan Adams in concert. However, I receive no income, and that bothers me the most. Money goes out, but nothing comes in. The only valuable thing I have to sell is my flat, but I need more money now. Hopefully, this will only be a momentary problem and not a long-lasting battle.

Movies and TV series I’ve seen more than 5 times

What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

Daily Writing Prompt

I’m a big fan of movies and TV series. I’ve seen a lot, so I don’t remember which ones. But I know which movies and TV series I’ve seen more than five times—I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen them. I have a lot of DVD and Blu-Ray discs, but I also watch them on streaming services like Disney Plus.

I would choose movies if I had to choose between movies and TV series. I watch TV series, especially comedies, but I’m not interested in what they show now. They’re too tawdry for my taste. The newer comedy shows I like the best are ‘Modern Family’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’, but I haven’t seen them more than 5 times. Besides comedy TV shows, I enjoy watching crime and drama shows such as ’24’, ‘BBC Sherlock’ and ‘ER’. That show is on repeat now on Finnish TV. It was the show in the 1990s that you couldn’t miss a single episode of. It was a big break for actor George Clooney as well. I’m so glad it’s being shown again. You can’t find it on any streaming service for free. ER is as great as I remember. Another show I’m watching is ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’. It’s on season 25 and will catch up with the US, which is now on season 26.

The TV series I’ve seen more than five times are all British comedies. I have many of them on DVD, which is the only way to watch them repeatedly without commercials. Classics never go out of style. Every time I watch them, I still laugh. I have British comedies on DVD, including ‘Allo Allo’, ‘Blackadder’, ‘The Fast Show’, and ‘A Little Bit of Fry and Laurie’ (with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry). I’ve seen them more than 5 times. The comedy series I don’t have on DVD is ‘Are You Being Served?’ I’ve seen that at least 8 times when you could still see the whole episode for free. Now, it’s only random episodes on YouTube. The show was never shown on Finnish TV, but I had heard about it, so I searched online. I could name a few other British classics, but that would take too long to write about.

The genres in movies are more expansive than in TV series. There is action, fantasy, and, of course, comedy. The movies I’ve seen most are the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy. I can never get enough of them. The next on the list is ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Say what you want about these movies, but I see them as entertainment and don’t take them too seriously. Some people might think the movies aren’t getting better and that there are too many. Trilogies aren’t for everyone; only those with enough patience to watch them will like them. Take ‘Lord of the Rings’, for example, for some about 3 three hours in the movie theatre is too long to sit. But if you’re a movie fan, you don’t care. I saw each of the three movies twice and watched the whole thing to the end. I have only had to go to the bathroom once during another movie, but that was only because I had to. That was only one time, and I have never had to leave in the middle again. The mistake people make when they go to the movies is that they drink during the movie. That’s what makes you want to go to the bathroom in the first place. I think it’s a shame to pay for a movie ticket and then have to leave in the middle of the movie. Tickets aren’t cheap, you know. You should always be prepared for a movie in the theatre, or you might miss something.

I have seen movies since I was 3, so I have a lot of experience watching them. I even belonged to a children’s movie club when I was a kid. I was one in the 1980s, so it was mostly family movies like “The Never Ending Story”. That was one of the movies in the movie club. There are movies I’ve only seen once or twice, and then there are movies like ‘Thor’ movies and the ‘Batman trilogy ‘with Christian Bale. I’ve seen them at least 5 times, but I haven’t counted them, but it is a lot. There are many others I’ve seen more than 5 times, but I can’t think of one right now. I’m selective when it comes to movies and TV series. I don’t watch just anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s a blockbuster movie many people want to see. I won’t watch them if it doesn’t interest me, even though everybody else does. Those movies and TV series are on a totally different list.

Don’t think I’ll live that long

What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

Writing Daily Prompt

Quoting, Who Wants to Live Forever, A song by Queen. I don’t think I will have a long life. I think it has to do a lot with your genes and not with how healthy your life is. Some people die without having to do much, and then some people smoke and drink alcohol but still live a long life. None of my relatives have lived to their 90s. Except for my Dad’s half-sister, I don’t know if she’s still alive. Her kids don’t tell me anything. She was at least 91 years old in 2023.

My big sister died when she was 10 due to illness in 1983. My Dad’s mother passed away at 81 in 1989, and my mum’s mother died when she was 86 in 2003. She had a stroke and lived in a retirement home for 10 years before passing away. Mum died when she was 68 from cancer in 2013. Then, my Dad died at 79 of pancreatitis last year. On March 8, it will be a year. I don’t think I’ll have a very long life. I wouldn’t know what to do with the life I’ve been given. One thing is for sure: the world will be different in 30-35 years. You don’t know how much life you got because anything can happen. I wouldn’t want to live forever. There are enough problems in the present.

I think I don’t want to look further than what might happen this year or in a couple of months. I always try to be careful in anything I do. You can’t choose at what age you’re going to die. Your life can end in a blink of an eye, or you might be lucky enough to live a long life. Even if you’re careful, you can still meet bad luck, so you never know. You can only hope for a long life, but nothing is certain. Death will come no matter what. Life is for the living, and you should be able to live it the way you want. As long as it doesn’t disturb others, you might get a long life if you want it. Try to get along with others, and you will avoid many problems.
