Bloganuary: Asking Help with iPhone Bluetooth problem

What could you do differently?

Bloganuary 2024

What I wish I had done differently was getting that package I ordered to the post office instead of pick up point. My Bluetooth doesn’t work on my iPhone, so I can’t get it out of the locker. I’ve tried a lot of different ways to fix the problem. Updating the software, and reloading the phone. It seems like I’m the only one with the same problem. I even went to the store where I bought my mobile, but they didn’t know what to do either. They gave me a number to call, but what good will that do? I have time until January 12 to get the package or it will go back to the sender. Sigh, I’m lost. I doubt anyone here can help how to get my Bluetooth to work on my mobile. It goes on and off again. The Bluetooth, that is. If something is broken, I’m not gonna buy a new phone just because of that. I reset the network connection, but still Bluetooth won’t work. If I factory reset the mobile, I must start again. All the fuss with the apps and passwords. Seem too much work. It might still not work. Sometimes, technology makes me crazy. Why aren’t these things never clear?! Since the Bluetooth doesn’t work, I can’t download photos to my Mac laptop. Maybe it’s a total lost cost. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do? Or are you as lost as I am about this problem?

What irritates me the most is the package that I can’t get out of the locker because of a Bluetooth problem. I was so looking forward to the product I bought. If I only could get it some other way, but I guess it’s too late. The product is sold out, so I can’t order it again. Not a very fun way to start a year. No Bluetooth, no ordered package. This is not a problem I wanted to start with, but there you go.

Bloganuary: What is a treasure that’s been lost?

A treasure that is lost is common sense and the consideration of others. It seems that selfishness is growing in the world. People don’t care about other people’s feelings. They do things that suit them. If there are rules to go by, they have no respect for them. The rules are not made up for fun; they’re made to make people feel comfortable and safe. Take house rules, for example. There are rules in high-rise buildings when you can’t make noise after 10 pm, which means the whole week. But yet, some people play music or talk out loud after 10 pm, no matter what time of the week. Try to sleep in that noise. You don’t want loud neighbours to spoil your living. You have the right to feel at home at your own home. As a kid, I stopped playing music after 10 pm, which was everyday living. But now it seems that it doesn’t matter what time it is. People don’t care about other people. If you can’t sleep, you still have no right to have loud noises. You need to take your neighbours into consideration no matter what kind of lifestyle you have. If you can’t obey house rules, then maybe you shouldn’t live in a place with other people around.

Common sense is a difficult thing for some people. Certain people have no respect for people’s property. If something new has been built, it won’t take long before some idiot has spraypainted on it with some ugly scrabbling. The same goes for something that has been repainted. It’s some kind of obsession or sickness these people have that they have to spoil things with paint. It costs money to take graffiti off or whatever scribble it is. It must be challenging to think about other people’s feelings. It’s common sense to have empathy towards others. That’s a lost treasure these days. I think the reason is modern technology. It has made people selfish. It’s supposed to be a tool, not something that boosts your ego. If we lived when there were none of that, those people obsessed with technology couldn’t manage. I’m glad I grew up in a world where there were no internet and no mobiles. Life wasn’t the way it is now. Then people had brains to think with. It’s sad how kids today have no imagination when it comes to making up things to do. They need adults to tell them what to do. It’s not their fault. It’s just the way the world works. Kids are not given a chance when their parents give them mobile at a young age and leave them to their own luck. People are no longer allowed to think, and that’s a shame.

Connection lost at first sight

Ever felt that no matter what you do, you don’t find the connection with something or someone? You think you do all the right things but they still don’t work. You think it’s because of you. You might take it personally even if it isn’t. Some things don’t have an explanation. They just are. I feel or have felt like I’ve lost connection at first sight. When I meet new people I might talk to them but there is no other connection than friendliness. They say you should make connections so in the future you might need their help. But I have never met such people. They don’t even ask to keep in touch. Maybe I’m just not interesting enough. I don’t want to force people to keep in touch with me if they don’t want to. Making connections in job search seems to be important too. But since I never get any, I haven’t found anything. LinkedIn is a joke too. What a bunch of lies that is. No employer search for employees there. At least not in Finland. Here having relatives is very important or be very lucky.

I don’t get many connections on social media either. I really hate making up tags. Especially on Instagram. That spoils everything. It’s full of fake photos anyway. No one wants to be different. I don’t know why I even bothered starting to using it again. Sometimes I don’t even get any likes at all. It doesn’t matter how many tags I use or what kind of photos I have, they will never get more than 1 or 2. More if I’m lucky but never over 12. Using social media for job search are all lies too. You must be really an attention seeker or something special to rock someone’s world. It doesn’t boost your morale, it takes it out of you. I don’t how some get many likes. Are these people following them so they see the post or what? I just don’t get it. Never compare your followers to how many others have because it only brings you down. It’s all shallow about how to get people to notice/follow you. You should do this and you should do that. It takes forever and in the end, it’s all a waste of time. I just don’t want to bother with it anymore. I’m not gonna force out the tags. I just put what comes to mind and leave it at that. I get likes or I don’t, I’m only gonna post for my own entertainment. I’m tired of trying to impress people.

If someone wants to make a connection, it’s probably spam. You don’t see the difference between the truth and the lies because you haven’t had any real connections. Bad experiences make you doubt things. Especially when it comes to the Internet. You shouldn’t even believe what you see in there anyway. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t trust these platforms like LinkedIn in a job search because you never know if the connection might be an imposter. I rather use something else than use it. It only brings me down. So lies and connection do come together. Both of them are bad news in the end.
