What do you complain about the most?

Bloganuary 2024

Nothing in life is perfect. You can complain all day long about the small things, but some things you can’t do anything about. I try not to complain online. You can be alienated by other people if that’s all you do. When I complain, it’s about hot weather. I hate it, and I don’t miss it at all. Maybe it’s the hot weather I complain about the most. Weather is something you can’t change, but we still complain about it.

This is not a complaint, but sometimes it feels like other people alienate me on social media. No matter what I post, it’s like talking to a wall. I might get a few likes, but comments are rare or never seen. It feels like there is no point in wasting time by posting anything. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Maybe my photos aren’t good enough. It’s not uplifting to post on social media when you never know if people even see my posts. But in the end, I won’t stop posting. I do it for myself. I wonder if people who follow me don’t even read or see my posts. Maybe they only collect followers and don’t interact. They’re called a lurker. They only follow and don’t do anything else. With my luck, I wouldn’t be surprised.

I feel I’m getting alienated from getting a job, too. Maybe I’m in the wrong occupation. Maybe I could get one if I was in health care or being a cleaner. But I can’t do those jobs. I’ve been away from working far too long, so no one wants to hire me. I don’t even know if I want to work with anybody anyway. Only time will tell how things will go in the future. It’s my life, and I complain if I want to. It will make me feel a little better.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Bloganuary 2024

I’ve never gambled and never will. I have no money to either. My dad used to buy lottery tickets, but he never won anything significant. Maybe small amounts, but there is no point in spending money on that. You need to have luck to win by chance. That’s what it is. I would only win in a dream world. I would use my concentration on something more likely. I don’t know what I would do if I won the lottery. You don’t know before you win.

I have no mortgage to pay or something I need money for. If I close my eyes and concentrate, I can probably imagine what I would do if I won the lottery. It depends on how much I have won. Some of it I would use for travel and for living. Then, I would give some to my dad. The rest I would give to charity. You know what they say: mo money, mo problems. Or it’s actually Notorious B.I.G. sang it. Money doesn’t make you happy; it only gives you people you don’t want to have around.

In a way, I already won the lottery, being born in a peaceful country where you can express your opinion without fear of consequences. Winning is more than having money, you know.

List five things you do for fun.

Bloganuary 2024

Always enjoy the things you do. It can be for fun, or it can be a job you do. Even if your friends and family don’t like the same things, don’t let your fun time fall into a black hole. It can sometimes be annoying that no one else likes the same things as you do. That’s how I feel when I meet new people. They never seem to have anything in common with me. But I enjoy doing things alone anyway. Here are my Top 5 fun things I like to do.

  1. Blogging
    • I blog for fun. I also want to become better at writing in English. Blogging is like having a diary; others can read it, too.
  2. Watching movies and TV series
    • I watched movies on TV, but there were too many commercials. I have Disney Plus, so I watch movies from there. I also go to the movies. The last time I went was last week. It was a preview for a Finnish movie. I mostly like watching old TV shows; it was when TV was good. I’m not fond of what is being shown on television today. I love comedies the most.
  3. Cycling
    • When my mother was alive, we used to take bike trips to different places, but now I do it alone. I only cycle 3 seasons (Spring, Summer, and Autumn). I also take the bike when I go to the grocery store or the centre. Even if I have a driver’s license, I still cycle. It’s good exercise.
  4. Writing fan fiction
    • I write Real Person fiction in English. I haven’t done it in a while. I have them on AO3 (Archive of Our Own). It’s a good exercise for storytelling and also for getting better at English. I’ve always had a good imagination.
  5. Surfing the Internet
    • Sometimes, I’m not looking for anything special. When I have a lot of time on my hands, I search for whatever pops into my head while surfing the Internet. Sometimes, I find things I can learn something from and find something I haven’t even thought of. The Internet can be exciting; you never know what you can find.

So that was my Top Five things I do for fun. I hope this post doesn’t fall into a black hole.
