Hate seems to be the strongest word

There are things I hate doing but is it really hate? E.g. When I watch sport and a rival wins against my favorite. I might get really frustrated and say how much I hate the rival. But I don’t really hate that team or athlete. It’s just that moment.  It’s just a state of mind. Something that goes away after a while.

If people say they hate someone famous. Why is it always the word hate? That’s a strong word. It’s wrong to say you hate them. You don’t know them personally. How will you know what they’re really like in real life? It’s OK if you dislike someone. But hate?! You must hate yourself too. Maybe some people feel better about themselves if they “hate” someone.

You might not like the way they look. Or maybe you’ve seen or read interviews and judge them by that. It’s so easy on the internet to judge someone and think no one is seeing it. It doesn’t have to be anyone famous. If could be anyone. They would never dare to say it in their faces. I known people like that. They’re too cowardly. Why someone would waste they’re time on posting hate online anyway. Don’t these people have anything to cheer about? There’s too much hate in the world already.

Bashing people (especially famous) on Twitter (or FB) is a waste of time and energy. To start a blog or website about hating someone/something that is really a waste of time. There are a lot of those all over the internet. Then there are people who never change their views no matter what. They live in their little bubble and don’t accept anything. They’ve decided not to change their minds. Even if it’s about their health. They don’t care. They have their views and you just have to accept it. They don’t care who it affects. They keep smoking. They keep drinking, using drugs or whatever. If anyone tries to put some sense into them, they just make up excuses, not to change their ways. And maybe even hate you for that. Even then hate is a bit exaggerated.

So before expressing your feelings with the word Hate, think what you really mean by that. It’s a strong word and it should not be used lightly.

Do you, do you really enjoy
Living a life that’s so hateful?
‘Cause there’s a hole where your soul should be
You’re losing control a bit
And it’s really distasteful

Longing for freedom

Have you ever wished you could just get away? Not from this life, from the life you’re living. Do you wish you could just go somewhere to collect your thoughts? Just for a moment.

Everyone feels stressed once in a while. If it’s your work, your friends or family giving you a hard time. You wish you could just go somewhere. Maybe travel to another country. As long as it’s somewhere else.

Or you could just go out to the nearest beach or maybe you live near the ocean. Or even go to a park. It doesn’t have to cost a thing. Try to a find a place where there’s not many people around or none. If you don’t have a place like that. Why not just sit down on a chair at home and close your eyes. Imagine you’re sitting on a cliff, looking out to the sea. You’re all alone and no one interrupts your thoughts. The weather can be whatever you want it to be. A warm breeze or no wind at all. It can be hot or cold, whatever you prefer. Just drift away for a while.

It can also be somewhere in nature. Maybe there’s a place where you used to spend your time when you were a child. Imagine the birds singing. The smell of trees. The smell of fresh air. Think about those summer days when you were a child. Time of innocence.

We all need an escape from reality. Take a look inside your mind. It does wonders to your brain. Contemplation is not that difficult. Just lay back and relax a bit. Life is not that serious.

Followers or friends?

I have a “few” followers on Twitter and Facebook (on my blogs as well but that’s another matter) Most of them I “met” from F1 forums for females. But are they just followers or are they friends?! I’ve never met any of them so I don’t know them personally. I don’t talk to them either. And they don’t confide in me. So they must be followers only.

What is friendship anyway?! I know what they are like and know what they do. But can I call them friends?! The only thing I have in common with them is Formula One. I could call them fellow fans. But then again I know things about them. If they were only fellow fans, I wouldn’t know much about them. They would just be random people. But since I don’t have friends that I talk to, face to face, I would call them friends.

The best thing about internet is that you can meet people from another country without having to go anywhere. Especially when you can’t afford it. And it’s much easier to find people on the internet when you don’t have to open your mouth. Since my social skills are not that great, internet is a good tool for people like me.

The question still is, are they followers or friends?! Lot of people “brag” about how many followers they’ve got. But I don’t care about “collecting” followers. I want to find friends that I have things in common with. It’s about quality not quantity.

So my answer to my question is, they are friends since I know something about them and their life. Those I know don’t know much about, they are followers.
