Waiting for a contact is one of the most annoying things. People who don’t reply almost straight away have no respect. You would think sending emails is a piece of cake but yet it takes forever for some to reply to it. It would be understandable if it was through snail mail but in the modern technology, people have smartphones and all those things. So why does it take so long to reply? Being too busy is no excuse. Sometimes you have to wait a week or more for someone to write back. That’s too long. It’s OK if it’s a couple of days but not further then that. The same with text messages. If I get one, I reply straight away after I thought of an answer. I know how it feels when you’re waiting for an answer and I don’t want anyone to wait for my reply.

Contact is only optional if it’s nothing important or you don’t really know what to reply. If it’s about a job or about your business, time is money and you don’t have time to wait for a contact. Letting people wait is not a good manner. People who don’t take other people into consideration are selfish. You don’t contact people just the hell of it. You do it because you want something done. You can’t wait for a reply forever. You must have a very good reason if you let people wait too long for a reply. You can always send a short message just to let the other know you’re alright or that you did receive the message. That’s better than no contact at all. I’ve contacted people who don’t reply so I start to think they didn’t get it or maybe try to ignore me. The uncertainty is one of the worse feelings in the world. I wouldn’t want anyone to feel that way.

So if someone makes a contact, don’t let them wait for a reply. It’s not very nice to let people wait. Try to put yourself in their shoes. I doubt anyone would want to be ignored like that.
